Solid Surface Window Sills
Corian and solid surface sills cut to your opening — seamless, non-porous, and available in 77 colours from stone-look to solid white.
What a Corian window sill is
Solid surface is a cast sheet of acrylic or polyester resin blended with mineral filler — the same material used for seamless countertops. Because the colour runs through the full thickness rather than sitting on a printed layer, a chip or a scratch does not expose a different substrate underneath, and the surface can be sanded back and repolished.
For a window sill that matters more than it does on a counter. A sill takes direct sun, condensation off the glass, plant pots, and the occasional set-down of something hot or wet.

Why it suits a window sill
Non-porous
Nothing soaks in. Condensation running off the glass sits on the surface and wipes away rather than swelling a seam or lifting a finish — which is why it is specified in bathrooms, kitchens and laundry rooms.
Seamless joints
Two pieces are bonded with a colour-matched adhesive and sanded flush, so a long run reads as one continuous piece with no visible joint. On a mulled run of two or three windows that is the difference between a sill and an assembly.
Heat & sun resistant
It will not yellow or check in a south-facing window the way a finished timber sill can under all-day direct sun. Heat resistant rather than heatproof — a trivet is still sensible under anything genuinely hot.
Repairable
Scratches and scuffs sand out with abrasive pads and the surface is repolished to match. A solid surface sill can be brought back to new years later, which no laminate or veneered sill can.
The colour runs through the full thickness rather than sitting on a printed layer — so a chip never exposes a different substrate underneath.
The 77 Corian colours
Colours run from flat solids through fine particulate to large-format stone and terrazzo patterns. Because the sills are mapped at the true 144" × 30" sheet size, the pattern you see on the drawing is the pattern the piece is cut from — a veined colour on a 96" run shows the vein travelling the length of the piece, not a repeating tile.
- Stone and marble looks — Calacatta Greige, Stonecrest Smoke, Rain Streak and similar veined patterns for a sill that reads as stone at a fraction of the weight.
- Terrazzo and particulate — Laguna Terrazzo, Peppered Terrazzo, Pebble Lane and Stonique, where visible aggregate hides everyday marks well.
- Quiet solids — Artista Mist, Artista Sage, Crème Royale and the flat whites, for sills meant to disappear into the trim.
- Darks — Lava Drift and Excavage, dramatic against white casing but the least forgiving of dust.

Corian window sill sizes, depth and thickness
Every piece is cut to your measurements from a full 144" × 30" sheet.
| Dimension | How it works |
|---|---|
| Length | Cut to your jamb-to-jamb measurement to 1/16", with a 1/16" reveal per side so the piece drops into an out-of-square opening. |
| Depth | Wall face to frame plus your projection into the room. |
| Thickness | The sheet is 3/4"; a laminated build-up edge makes the front read as 1½", 2½", 3" or 4". |
| Returns & corners | Eared returns past the opening, and a 3/4" inside radius to wrap a bullnose corner bead. |
| Edge profiles | All six machine cleanly. Because the colour is solid through, a deep ogee shows the same colour in the curve as on the face. |
Solid surface or hardwood?
Solid surface for wet rooms, heavy sun, seamless long runs, and where a specific colour matters more than grain. Hardwood where the sill is meant to read as woodwork and match existing trim or cabinetry. See the hardwood range → · Full comparison →

Is solid surface the same as Corian?
Corian is a brand of solid surface — the original one. The colours here are drawn from the Corian range; solid surface is the generic term for the material category.
Can it be used in a bathroom or over a tub?
Yes, and it is one of the best choices there. It is non-porous, so standing water and condensation do not damage it, and there is no seam or finish edge for water to get behind.
Will a dark colour show dust?
More than a light one, and more than a particulate pattern. If the sill is in a bright room and will not be wiped often, a mid-tone or terrazzo pattern is more forgiving than a flat dark.
Can you match my countertop?
If your counter is solid surface and you know the colour name, yes. Send the name or a photo of the underside label and we will confirm the match before cutting.
